When the police arrived, Dr. Ndaba led them – including Paul – to a secure room in the clinic. As they all sat around a large table, the veterinarian placed a small, metallic object in the center. It was the tracking device he had extracted from the lion’s stomach. Paul shifted to the edge of his seat, eagerly waiting for what the police officers had to say.
The detective examined the device closely, his brow furrowing in concern. “This is advanced technology”, he said. “It appears that the poachers have been using this to keep tabs on the lion’s movements, waiting for the perfect moment to strike”. Paul already knew this. Slightly disappointed he leaned back to his seat. But then the police officer said something else…
