Charlotte nodded, willing herself to believe him. Perhaps she had let Judy’s gossip-prone nature rub off on her. She knew she could trust Paul and she wanted to take his word for it. After all, Judy had said that there was nothing romantic about the meals the two shared together. But still…something kept nagging at her.
