Lily rushed into her mother’s arms, hugging her tightly. “I was so scared, Mommy,” Lily whispered. Her mother kissed the top of her head, her voice trembling with emotion. “You were so brave, sweetheart. You saved me. I’m so proud of you, my darling. You did everything just right.”
The paramedic who had been so attentive earlier strode into the hospital room with a reassuring smile. His presence was a welcome sight for the reunited family. “I’m pleased to tell you that both mom and baby are doing just fine,” he said warmly, his eyes twinkling with relief.
