The forest was quiet, too quiet. The animals that usually filled the woods with their calls were silent, and there was a tension in the air that he couldn’t explain. What the heck was going on?!
And then, out of nowhere, he heard a sound that made his blood run cold. A low growl, coming from somewhere deep in the woods. Joseph knew immediately that it was a predator, and a dangerous one at that.
His instincts told him to turn back, to make his way back to the safety of the village. But something in Joseph wouldn’t let him. It was as if he froze and he didn’t have any control of his body anymore. As Joseph pushed deeper into the woods, he couldn’t help but question his own judgment. Was this curiosity or recklessness? The answer didn’t matter, as the danger he was about to face would change his life forever. He needed to find out what was out there, what was making that growling noise. And so, against better judgment, Joseph pushed forward, deeper into the woods…
