At first, Joseph was tempted. He could use the money to make his life easier, to buy more equipment for his hunting, or to travel and see the world. But the minute he started to see dollar signs he felt instant guilt. He thought about the tigress, and the trust that she had placed in him. He knew that he couldn’t betray that trust by selling her cubs to a zoo.
Joseph refused the offer, politely but firmly. He knew that the zoo officials would not take no for an answer, and that they might try to pressure him into changing his mind. But he was resolute. He had made a promise to the tigress, and he intended to keep it.
